A Message From Our President

ACHE Members,

Congratulations on completing this difficult and historic school year! In speaking with teachers across the state and nation it is more evident than ever that teachers are a special kind of people who rise to unexpected challenges and tackle them through innovation and perseverance.  Thank you for all that you do and continue to do for students.

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 crisis and with an abundance of caution, the ACHE Board has made the decision to cancel our annual in person Conference scheduled for September. To help assist you at this time, ACHE will cover the costs of renewing state and national membership to all our current members through the 2020-2021 school year.  In addition, we are investigating ways to continue to support History teachers in lieu of the conference and would appreciate your input in making these decisions by filling out the linked survey.

Like all of you, I spend time during the summer participating in professional development and making plans for the next school year. Please check out our Online Resources to help you in your planning and access the new resources for teaching hard history.

Thank you,

Nancie Lindblom
